Portrait Gerhard Maier

Gerhard Maier, owner / CEO

Originally I entered the professional world as a craftsman with an apprenticeship as a mechanic. Then I deepened the practical work and after my higher professional examination I provided it to young occupation trainees. This was followed by the longtime investment project management accompanied with a graduation in business economics. With the family I lived and worked in Japan to build up the local production of newly licensed products. After that, I supervised licensees for several years in Poland, Japan and India. Then I took over the production management in an aluminum injection moulding company and subsequently the production management in a classical SME engineering company. This was followed by a longer period as Managing Director of a stamping- and bending company and finally the management of special projects.

With this accumulated experience, I started my own company.

Further education are self-evident and usually happen extra-occupationally to topics like management and leadership, languages or specific topics such as trademark protection, free trade agreements, contract law, computer knowledge, standards, etc.

Married for more than 30 years and father of one adult son and daughter each, the family occupies a very important place in my lifetime.

Personally, I also spent a lot of time in association boards. For quite some time I am an active Aikidoka at the Aikido-Club Aarau. Between the ski seasons, I also take care of my condition with inline skating and swimming. This is necessary because I am not averse to a fine meal and a nice glass of red wine..
